All of our teachers have attended an intensive training program given by Music Together, LLC.  We are all passionate about music and children...

Our Jammin Baby Team

Erica Berry, Director/ Registered Music Together Teacher

Jammin Baby was developed out of a passion and love for music and children.  Erica Berry, the founder of Jammin Baby, is an accomplished singer/songwriter and a mother of two young girls (Lena, 6 and Sophia, 3).  Her debut album, entitled “Life and Love” earned top ten rankings on the Rhythm and Blues charts in the United Kingdom in the mid-90’s.  Erica has studied voice and musical theatre at Howard University and at an early age was accepted to UC Berkeley’s Young Musicians Program.  Erica was most recently trained by Music Together co-founder, Dr. Lili Levinowitz, PhD.   Erica also teaches music in Preschools around the Triangle.

Erica is multi-talented in music, entertainment and business, having earned a B.A. in Political Science, with a music minor, from Howard University and a J.D. from Hastings College of the Law at the University of California.   Erica formerly practiced Corporate Law for six (6) years in the New York Metropolitan area, but now has returned to her passion … Music, Music and more Music…

Having taken Music Together® with her daughter, Lena, for 2 ˝ years, Erica decided after relocating to North Carolina, to start Music Together centers in Apex, Chapel Hill, Durham and Pittsboro.  Erica also provides music at several Preschools around the area.

Kim Crowley, Registered Music Together Teacher

Kim showed a passion for music at a very young age.  She has studied both the piano and violin.  However, in College she spent much of her time singing, making her voice her most beloved instrument.  Kim has been a featured dancer and member of the chorus in the musical "Hello Dolly", as well as a member of the internationally recognized Meredith College Choral Group.  After college, Kim worked in sales and marketing for many years.  But after marrying her husband, Tim, and having children, Kim rediscovered her passion for music through time spent singing and playing musically with her two young boys, Carson, age 5, and Eli, age 3.  Together they love dancing, singing, moving, shaking, drumming, and playing small instruments to many types of music.  Having taken a Music Together class with her son, Carson, when he was 2 ˝, Kim looked at the opportunity to teach Music Together as a way to re-engage a passion from her youth.  This summer, she was trained by Music Together co-founder, Dr. Lili Levinowitz, PhD.  Kim hopes she will spread her joy for music and love of children to other families.

Kara Williams, Registered Music Together Teacher - New Raleigh Area Teacher

Kara Williams is a dynamic multi-talented individual who loves to sing and dance, especially with her 3 delightful children (Austin, age 6; Marion, age 4; Ann Lauren, age 7 months).   After graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill where she received a degree in elementary education and communication studies, she taught Kindergarten in Hillsborough, NC for 3 years and then 1st grade in Charlotte, NC.  She visited a Music Together class with a friend in Charlotte in 2003 and has been a fan ever since.   She has participated as a parent in almost all of the collections with her children.  In addition, she sang, shaked, boogied, and taught Music Together classes in the Charlotte area for 2 years before moving to Raleigh in June 2008.  She has a wonderful voice and enjoys singing on the worship team at her church and is actively involved with children's ministry.

Sonja Noykos - Registered Music Together Teacher - New Raleigh Area

Sonja grew up in a musical family, and besides singing at home, she sang in many choirs and learned to play piano and flute.  As she got older she became more serious about being a flutist and ended up getting her Bachelor’s of Music in Flute Performance in 2005 from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music.  Sonja has placed in or won many local and national flute competitions.  After graduating she got married and moved to Salt Lake City, where her husband attended school to become a luthier (someone who makes string instruments).  While in Utah, Sonja was Music Director and Christian Education Coordinator at a church.  In March 2009 she and her husband moved to Raleigh because he had gotten a job with a violin/bow maker.  Because of her love for children, many years of baby-sitting, and a good experience working with kids in Utah, Sonja decided to become a nanny, and is currently working with several families part-time.  Sonja is also active in the Raleigh Area Flute Association, directing three flute choirs, and she teaches private flute lessons.
